Hello! My name is Pearl Ware. I am adopted from China and raised in America. Both my parents are American and I was raised in Kansas. I have lived in Abu Dhabi for approximately 5 years or more.
I enjoy expanding my creativity as well as challenging myself. I plan to go to college after high school and I hope to become a successful business owner. If I succeed with my goal, I hope to open an organization or fund for children with disabilities. Perhaps a center or something advanced that can benefit them. If I can’t become a successful business owner, I want to be a child psychologist.
Yes, my cousin is a year younger than be and he’s autistic. He’s the most sweet, smart, and caring person I know. He sees the good in everyone and everything. I see him in a lot of the kids I’m working with at Goals UAE, it’s so nice and refreshing. My cousin like other children with autism, they aren’t different. They are unique and there is nothing wrong with that. Being unique is the best thing someone can be. Anyone should be proud of the people who are as unique as my cousin and the kids at Goals UAE.
I chose to volunteer because I love kids, I love to entertain, play, and just be with kids. I also love to help kids and accommodate them. Since my cousin is autistic and I love kids, I felt like I’d have a connection with them and be able to really benefit from this experience. I’ve proven myself right so far. All of the children are absolutely genuine, sweet, and loving. All they want to do is play and have fun, they don’t care about who, where, what and why, they just want to have fun. They are just like other kids their age, they want to play. They express their feelings in the most honest ways and honesty is a quality that they are gifted with. Like the quote, “If they can’t learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn.”
